A Man and a Woman is simply stated and complete gem of a boutique tucked on a corner in the West Village. Created by former ShopBop head buyer Erin Crandall, the clothing collections are elegant without much trendy fuss, with racks filled with beautiful pieces that are meant to last years in any woman or man's wardrobe.
This high-ceiling, all-window boutique walks the line of being stylish without being trendy, with every piece added to the store meeting Crandall's effortlessly chic motto. Prices range from $100-$400+, with designers including Helmut Lang, Vince, Rozae, Temperley, Jason Wu, and L'Agence. All the collections are chosen to help build on someone's existing wardrobe, with a large selection of staple tees and long-sleeves in modern cuts, including all of L'Agence's perfect basics in expert silhouettes and lux fabrics.
You can also find an ever-growing men's section and an excellent collection of accessories and jewelry. Shoes from Osborn and amazing boots from Cobra Society match well with jewelry from Bing Bang, Made Her Think, and Dannijo. A favorite is Collette Ishiyama's affordable line of gold and sting-ray jewelry (necklace $110). A Man and a Woman also showcases a pop-up shop in the basement where you can check out the latest designer.
The excellent service and charm of the space makes A Man and a Woman fun to shop and easy to discover new pieces and chic styles on every rack.
