Mint Julep

Location - 173 Ludlow Street (between Houston & Stanton Street)

The brainchild of two Boston boutique lovers, Mint Julep in the Lower East Side is the third store (Manhattan's first) and truly stocks pieces for every occasion. This open, friendly boutique lets you slow down and enjoy the act of shopping.  With loads of choices and accessories, there's much to look at, and the staff is even happy to just chat with you and they offer the latest gossip magazines on their comfy couch.

Their stock is a collection of basics and trendy items from Splendid, LA Made, Three Dot, Velvet, 525 America, White + Warren, Tibi, Plenty by Tracy Reese, Free People, Kensie, and Ben Sherman.  With the amount of brands ranging from $35-$350, Mint Julep does a good job of having a wide variety, but editing to essentials to meet the needs of their clients.  They have an excellent selection of dresses and coats, especially well-fitting light jackets and casual jersey dresses.  Make sure to try on the wonderfully soft tops from Three Dot and always flirtatious designs from Kensie.

They have trendy, inexpensive jewelry ($20-$75) and accessories and bags from Orla Kiely and Ebisu.  Hats and scarves from Tolani and Moksha help top off any outfit.  They even have baskets of on-sale basic long tees and tanks.
