Home to some of the best cashmere goods in the city, Meg Cohen Design Shop is a friendly, airy boutique filled with accessories for all seasons and fun vintage oddities. The owner and designer, Meg, creates beautiful pieces in saturated colors in timeless patterns and styles that are made to last a lifetime.
Colorful cashmere fills the space in bright stripes, charming polka dots, and rich solids in the form of scarves, gloves, hats, and hoods. Cashmere scarves on sale can be found as low as $65 and regularly go up to $250, with most hovering around $150. A favorite are the lightweight polka dot scarves in vibrant colors ($135) that are a fun accessory to any outfit. The quality of cashmere is evident in the softness and durability of each product and is thick and cozy for winter, or light and airy for the warmer months. Not only are there multiple styles of scarves, but fingerless cashmere gloves are perfect for the change in season ($65), hoods ($90), and hats ($65-90).
Not only can you find high-quality cashmere, but the vintage goods and re-worked vintage jewelry pieces are unique and make for eccentric accessories. Meg's collection of old lockets and compasses are re-purposed into beautiful pendants ($165-$375), and small vintage charms (like a dog from the 1940s) are $12. Other great finds include patterned coin purses for $35, Mason cup and saucer for $15, and Peace card sets for $15.
